Mergent Group is thrilled to collaborate with a globally renowned leader in downhole drilling design and manufacturing. We're seeking a talented CNC Machinist – Setter Operator to join our Adelaide team. In this role, you'll be responsible for machining operations on CNC and manual-controlled machines, following precise instructions. This is an entry level role and an exceptional opportunity you won’t want to miss.
Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC machines to produce parts as per drawings and instructions
- Follow directions from the Leading Hand and Foreman
- Report any machine or equipment issues
- Keep accurate records and complete necessary paperwork
- Maintain a high standard of safety and quality
- Occasionally travel to other sites when needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with manual and CNC turning/milling machines
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Knowledge of different steel grades and how they machine
- Comfortable using metric and imperial measurements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible and adaptable attitude
