Mergent are looking for multiple Drilling Inspectors to join their industry leading clients team based in Western Australia. Work rotations are subject to the suitable candidate however, this is an ongoing position reporting into the Operations Manager.

As an Drilling Inspector, you will play a crucial role in conducting thorough inspections of materials, equipment, and components using various non-destructive testing methods. Your meticulous attention to detail and in-depth knowledge of NDT techniques will be vital to maintaining the high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspection and testing procedures in accordance with contractual obligations and within established competence and safety parameters.
- Promote and foster business expansion initiatives.
- Perform NDT inspections on diverse industrial machinery, Drill Stem & Production Tubulars.
- Execute specialized Oilfield inspections on Drillpipe, BHA, Speciality Tools, Production Tubing/Casing, aligning with various Industry standards such as DS1, NS2, API, and other licensor specifications.
- Prepare comprehensive reports. Undertake equipment calibration activities.
Qualifications
- At least a decade of practical field expertise
- DS-1 Category 5 proficiency
- Minimum certifications Level 2 MT, PT, UT - ASNT or comparable
- Comprehensive and proven understanding of inspecting Drillpipe, BHA, Specialty Tools, Production Tubing/Casing, following diverse industry standards like DS1, NS2, API, and other licensor specifications
- Familiarity with the administrative aspects of inspection procedures and reporting
